Charlotte County Committee Vacancies

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2023) — The MPO - Citizens’ Advisory Committee is seeking one West County representative who must live west of the Myakka River; one Mid-County representative; and one at-large representative. Applicants must live in Charlotte County to serve on the CAC. The CAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO board will consider.

The MPO - Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee is seeking one South County representative; and a bicycle club representative. These individuals must be a resident of Charlotte County to serve on the BPAC. The BPAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO board will consider.

The MPO - Charlotte County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board is seeking one volunteer representing the “children at risk; a person over 60 representing the “elderly in Charlotte County” and one “disabled representative who is disabled.” The purpose of the LCB is to identify local service needs and to provide information, advice, and direction to the Community Transportation Coordination of service to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged.
